McCain Endorses Romney

One establishment candidate endorses another. No surprise here!

MANCHESTER, NH - JANUARY 04: Former presidential nominee, U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) (R) announced that he is endorsing Republican presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney during a town hall meeting at Central High School January 4, 2012 in Manchester, New Hampshire.

John McCain, who refused to call Obama a Socialist in the 2008 campaign endorsed Mitt Romney on Wednesday. Romney, who was perfectly comfortable trashing Newt Gingrich, but like McCain didn't want to do any name calling when it came to Obama and has refused to call him a Socialist, accepted McCain's endorsement.

Look at what McCain said in an ad about Romney during the 2008 primary process:

Is it any wonder that Democrats not so secretly want to run against Romney? (1, 2)

Does the GOP really want to rerun the 2008 campaign with the same result?
